My IT list: Plaid Topshop City Dress and Tartan River Island Dress

I am loving that Plaid and Tartan are back in this Autumn as it really reminds me of my teenage years in the 90’s. Saint Laurent, Tommy Hilfiger and Phillip Lim were amongst many designers who were channelling the 90’s revival of tartan and plaid for their Autumn 2013 collections:

On my IT list today are two dresses; one Plaid and one Tartan which are both on trend, affordable and chic. The first is this City Dress by Love at Topshop;

I love this plaid dress as it’s so classic and for only £30 it is a style steal! I also adore this River Island tartan pussy bow dress which is also a bargain at £30;

These dresses are super cute finds for our Autumn wardrobes and doesn’t everyone deserve a few payday treats!? We work hard right!?..

I know it’s another Kate Spade IT list item and you may be thinking I might be slightly obsessed but I am so in love with everything they design. I also love Ked shoes so I was so excited to find out that Kate Spade have collaborated with them to put their design stamp on these lovely creations;

How cute are these sneakers!? They are available at http://www.katespade.com/shoes-sneakers/ks-shoes-sneakers. My favourite are the super sweet nautical pointer sneakers which have only a US size 6 left at the moment so are a very popular choice. I love them all and they would be great for Autumn.

My IT list- Vila Cable Knit Jumper

I love jumpers especially chunky knit’s as they are so cosy and versatile. Cable knits are in my opinion a staple winter wardrobe necessity and great to snuggle up in during the cold seasons. On my IT list today is this Vila Cable Knit jumper from ASOS.

This jumper is so cute and for only £22 it is a bargain. I am loving grey at the moment so the colour is perfect too. This jumper is so easy to wear for both seasons as in Autumn it would look chic with a quilted skirt and ankle boots and in Winter it would be great teamed with a pair of jeans, parker coat and winter boots. Fabulous!

Classic Friday- The Original ‘It Girl’

Clara Bow: July 29th 1905- September 27th 1965

On this day in 1965 the world lost one of it’s most influential stars and classic style icons; Clara Bow. The American born actress rose to fame during the silent films of the 1920’s and her notability soared after her performance in the film ‘IT’ in 1927 which named her as the ‘it girl’.

Clara was the the not only the original ‘It girl’ but she was also the first American sex symbol. Her style and unique look has massively influenced the fashion world and the ‘it girl’ term is now popularly used in todays fashion circles.

She was ahead of her time and so original for her era which made her the classic flapper icon that we still know and love today.  I am a massive fan of Clara Bow and love her films so I will leave you with one of my favourite clips from her film ‘IT’. Enjoy..

The colour choices cater for all tastes and needs as the Black, Maraschino and Macchiato/Black are sophisticated and classic whilst the Sonia Purple, Vivid Snapdragon/Maraschino and Black/Leopard/Macchiato live up to their names and are fun and sassy.

Oh and did I mention they come with 14 caret gold detailing…I am in Handbag heaven!
