Today on my IT list are these fabulously fashionable headphones from Friends With Benefits Taylor/Rebecca Minkoff;

Available from http://store.apple.com/us/product/HE518VC/A/frends-with-benefits-taylorrebecca-minkoff-headphones
These beauties are $250 which works out about £150 which isn’t cheap, however they are a great investment if your looking to make a fashion statement. They are sold out on Rebecca Minkoff's site but are available to buy from Apple on the above link. I just love them and they are so much more stylish than the ones I used to wear in the 90's which were like this;
Anyone else remember these!? Headphones have definitely come along way since then!

I am a massive Hunger Games geek and absolutely love the new instalment to the trilogy 'Catching Fire'. I’m a big fan of the novels by Suzanne Collins and the films have not disappointed. One of the most wonderful part of the films for me is the amazing costumes;
The exciting news is that the film's costumes designer Trish Summerville has just released a capsule Capitol Couture collection for Net-A-Porter. Her designs evoke the strength and power of Katniss Everdeen as well as the extravagant decadence of the Capitol;

I love The Strokes and never get tired of listening to their songs. ‘Someday’ is one of my favourite songs and I love the video which is directed by Roman Coppola, Frances Ford Coppola’s son. The video features Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan from Guns N Roses as well as the members of Guided By Voices.
Love it! Happy Saturday everyone 🙂

I am a big fan of the style of the sixties as it was a decade of fabulously fashion forward trends. My favourite of these trends is the shift dress which is still as popular now as it was back then. It’s popularity is due to the flattering fit and a-line cut which makes the dress elegant and easy to wear. Twiggy totally rocked the shift dress in the sixties and is one of my favourite style icons;

The shift dress is a versatile wardrobe piece as it can be easily adapted to suit any occasion. As the holiday season is fast approaching I thought I would have a little scout around the high street to find some party perfect shift dresses to wow in this Christmas. Here are my 5 favourite finds;
1. Paper dolls Shift Dress with Crochet Detail from ASOS
2. Little White Lies Amber Shift Dress from Urban Outfitters
£125 – http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/invt/5139440800054
3. Lace Neck Long Sleeve Shift Dress from Oasis
£32 – http://www.oasis-stores.com/lace-neck-long-sleeve-shift-dress/all-sale/oasis/fcp-product/447011823
4. Paisie Split Sleeve Shift Dress from John Lewis
I love all of these dresses but think I may be a little bit in love with the red Oasis dress. It is oh so Christmassy and is surprisingly in the sale from £60 to £32- bonus!
Are you a fan of shift dresses? If so which one do you prefer?
